A while back I did this as a gouche painting, but I just decided to redo it with in illustrator with some texture and with a faux frame. It's just for fun.

Strange Little Cartoon-Dodo, The Kid From Outer Space

This is a strange little Cartoon. While not claiming to be a expert, or know it all on cartoons, I find it strange that I'd never heard of this cartoon before. Dodo is simple, easy to follow, and a good quality. I don't think it's overly great, or horrible. However, the constant ryming isn't my favorite attribute. Also, I can't figure out why he has a flying saucer when he can fly on his own. Anyway, if you want to see more of these cartoons, there are some on youtube. Doodles

As some of you may have noticed, I have put up some new images on my Flickr and my Facebook. They are just something to keep me busy for now. The drawings don't have much reason behind them other than the fact that I hadn't drawn for a while. To be quite honest with you, I thought that maybe I had forgotten how to draw. I'm trying not to use solid fill in the images as much as possible. I just feel that cleaner hatching lines gives it a somewhat more respectable illustrated look. As always, I hope you like them, and let me know what you think.
